Kite Glass were selected to supply and install various toughened glass products.
Kite Glass supplied and fitted approx. 110 linear metres of 16.8mm thick LOW IRON toughened, heat soaked and laminated glass to internal and external balustrades - All the panels had polished edges and were drilled for handrail attachment.
The panels have exposed top and side edges and therefore had to be manufactured to very high standards in terms of toughening, edge aligning and laminating.They were glazed into steel base channels using Arbokol. All of the external panels were silicone jointed with the top edges capped with stainless steel.
15.2mm thick (including a 1.2mm white diffused interlayer) LOW IRON toughened and heat soaked laminated glass. All the edges were polished with countersunk fixing holes.
Manufactured from 17.5mm thick (including a 1.5mm acoustic interlayer) clear, toughened, heatsoaked and laminated glass panels. Each have polished edges and a screen printed etch applied to one face. One of the screens includes a 12mm thick toughened and heat soaked screen printed door with Dorma Manet ironmongery and electro magnetic sheer lock.
